The Perspective : We as a nation must untie the knot . The twisted knot of hate.
We are all outraged at the outcome of recent civil right violations. What I find the most disturbing are the wide range of opinions expressed about them. Rather than quote multiple lines of legal jargon and revisit the different viewpoints base on cultural and economic backgrounds, I present to you the 14th Amendment. Has anyone taken the time to read it ? How about just revisiting section 1.
Amendment XIV, Section 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
